Convert your course files. Never upload them.

GIFT to Moodle XML, course folders to SCORM, assessments to QTI — pick a tool, paste or drop your file, and get a working export in seconds. Every byte stays in this browser tab, so there's nothing to upload, no account to create, and nothing lost if your Wi-Fi drops mid-conversion.

Three tools. One job each. Nothing bloated.

No logins, no trackers, no servers in the loop — just the conversion you came for, running in the same tab you're reading this in.

Convert Both Directions, Instantly

Type questions in plain-text GIFT syntax and watch valid Moodle XML appear as you type. Already have an XML export? Convert it back into clean, editable GIFT — no round-trip through Moodle required.

Zero Uploads. Local Execution.

Your question banks and course files never hit our servers — there are no servers to hit. Every conversion runs as JavaScript in your own browser tab, so proprietary or FERPA-protected content never leaves your machine.

SCORM 1.2 & 2004 Standardized

Pick SCORM 1.2 for legacy systems or SCORM 2004 for detailed tracking, and get a correctly structured imsmanifest.xml every time — built to import cleanly into Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, or any SCORM-compliant LMS.

Canvas QTI 2.1 Exporter

Export your assessments as standards-compliant QTI 2.1 packages, ready to import straight into Canvas or Blackboard — no manual XML editing required.

Ecosystem Expansion

H5P Interactive Generator

Turn plain text into interactive H5P content types — skip the drag-and-drop configuration screens entirely.

Three steps. No installation.

The entire process — start to finish — happens in the tab you're already in.

1

Paste or Drop Your File

Paste your GIFT questions, or drag a course folder straight into the browser window — nothing is sent anywhere yet.

2

Convert Locally

Your browser checks the syntax, validates the structure, and builds the output — all offline, all on your machine.

3

Download and Import

Download a clean XML file or a ready-to-import SCORM zip, and drop it straight into your LMS.

Why your course files never touch our servers

Most conversion tools ask you to upload your file so a server can process it — which means, technically, someone could look at it. LMSTools's conversion engine runs entirely as JavaScript in your browser, so your question banks and course files are never sent anywhere for us, or anyone else, to see.

✓ GDPR & FERPA Secure ✓ Fully Offline Enabled

Your assets never traverse the network

Every conversion runs as JavaScript inside your browser. Your question banks and course files stay on your machine from the moment you open them to the moment you download the result.

Your files aren't the product

We may use standard site analytics to see which tools people use and where the experience breaks — the same way most websites do. That data is about page visits, never about your content: your GIFT questions, XML output, and SCORM packages don't exist anywhere for it to measure, because they never leave your browser to begin with.

Backed by builders, rated by educators

Everything you need to know

Is it really safe to use these tools for sensitive academic training?
Yes. Unlike converters that upload your file to process it, everything here runs inside your browser. Load the page once, then switch off your Wi-Fi — the tools still work, because your content never left your machine to begin with.
Do you support SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, or both?
Both. Choose SCORM 1.2 for legacy LMS compatibility or SCORM 2004 for richer tracking data, and the packager generates the correct imsmanifest.xml for whichever you pick.
Will these tools always remain free, or is a paid tier planned?
Single-file conversion stays free, always — that's not changing. We're introducing an optional Pro plan for batch conversion, saved question libraries, and team accounts, for anyone converting content at scale. If you're just converting one file, you'll never need to pay or sign up.

Convert your next course file in under a minute

No install, no account, no waiting on uploads — just open a tool and get your file back.
